There’s An App For That! Top Apps for Realtors

In this age of technology it seems like every time you turn around there is an app for that. The issue is no longer if there is an easier, more efficient way to do something, but rather, which option is the best? Obviously there is an element of preference that factors into the final decision for each of us. Personally, I find that I can spend way too much time wading through the enormous amounts of data that exists on many of these “time savers” which of course, eats up a hunk of my time.

So for all of you dedicated Realtors who are looking for ways to best use your precious time, I have detailed a list below of some of the best app solutions you will love. Well, at least this week. We all want to work smarter, not harder. I hope you enjoy using them and that each one helps you to be more successful.

Top Apps for Realtors:

Waze: I know. There are a ton of ‘map apps’.  Here’s why I love being a Waze… You are ready to go and right on time. Then, as you’re on the way to your meeting, your travel comes to a screeching halt because of a traffic jam or road work. Waze is a community based traffic application that pulls updates on real time road conditions from other users to provide you with the best route to get to your destination on time (it also lets you know where police and red-light cameras are along the way if you care about that kind of thing). Waze gives you the peace of mind in knowing that traffic won’t keep you from getting where you need to go before you even leave the house!

Dashlane: There’s a password for everything nowadays and you better not be using the same one across the board. Dashlane is a password management and digital wallet security app that makes logging into websites and financial transactions on your mobile device a breeze.

IFTTT: A tool that connects various services together and uses triggers (think "if this - then that”) to perform actions. IFTTT lets you do things like automatically post Instagram photos to every social network you use, or automatically post Facebook status updates whenever you want. If you use this app correctly, you can easily cultivate a social-media presence that makes you look like you're at the top of your social-networking game -- without having to actually do any real work. IFTTT integrates activity from different apps to work simultaneously. You can even find IFTTT “recipes” premade online!

KeyMe: Ok. This app is seriously cool. You create a digital copy of any key and store it on your mobile device, which can later be used to order a new key in case you ever lose the original. I know. Awesome.

Phramed: As a Real Estate Professional, you probably spend a great deal of time taking pics and sharing them on social media. If you are tired of having to switch back and forth between social networks to share the same picture, Phramed  will simplify the process for you. This app allows you to edit, combine and share the same picture(s) with all of your networks without ever having to leave the application. Just listed a new property? Take a few photos of its best features, instantly share them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and more. Why not text interested clients on the spot?

GoPro App: If you are serious about selling real estate, you should be using video at the highest level. This app allows you to not only control what you are filming from your smartphone, but also to instantly share the HD quality clips you have collected whenever and wherever you want on your social networks.

Vert: This is a crazy cool conversion tool. You can convert anything; size, weight, volume, length, lots of different metrics. A handy tool for a Real Estate Agent that fits in your pocket.

Trello: This one of my fave apps. It’s a collaboration tool that organizes your projects into boards (think virtual post-it-notes that you can move around). In one glance, Trello tells you what's being worked on, who's working on what, and where something is in a process. The great power of Trello is that there doesn’t seem to be any right or wrong way to use it. You can use it to outline entire projects, manage employees, and use it as a task list manager. It’s perfect for brainstorming and selecting ideas. If you are visual and like to be organized, get this app now.

PDF Escape: Hands down, one of my fave apps. PDF Escape is the perfect solution for adding your digital signature to PDF documents. It allows you to upload any PDF doc, add signatures, text, and dates where necessary. You will want to recommend this app to all of your clients and collaborators.
